The long awaited follow up to Fifteen Hours in the Air.
I personally like this drawing the best out of the three. It is very simple compared to the first one but I think everything fits together much better in this - the tree, the "Entrance" sign, the sky/sun and everything else all turned turned out exactly the way I wanted. Sorry that there are pencil lines in there - I was not allowed to erase the lines for the assignment but I do not think that they effect the piece overall. As for what is going on in the picture, it is based on a short story (which was decent) and this is the scene where the reader (which is me) arrives at the hotel. Not much detail was given in the story so I just kind of made the entire scene up. Info: This was done a few weeks back and took well over six hours to make but I am very happy with how it turned out - can you say "portfolio work"? Also, a side note, my final project KICKED EVERYONE'S ASSES! No one's came CLOSE to mine - I think mine had to be the only one with shading in the entire class - GO OVERACHIEVER! -- Medium - Pencil, Ink, Prismacolour markers Art © Tony Papesh 2004 |
