This one goes out to Loish because I feel bad for her computer getting fried and the loss of all (or some of) her pretty arts. o n o

Lately, I have been FINALLY getting back into the deviant art mood and I have been trying to comment more and such, and I noticed I have been hanging around Loish's page a lot. I have always been influenced by her art and, now, more so than ever. She is VERY VERY good refrence for colour AND form.

Anyhow, about this pic. I drew a Wizard of Oz picture and I wanted to try a new style and REALLY emphasize colour usage. In this picture is the lion, the tin-man, the scarecrow, dorothy, and toto (he got lost in the picture when I began to colour it, but he kind of got over looked in the movie too, so it kind of works?)

oh my! this is so wonderful! wow thanks so much C: makes my computer crashing all worth it xD
anyway, this picture is wonderful, and of course the colors are great. i think a lot of people dig bright colors and are like WOW YAY THE BRIGHTER THE BETTER but very few actually take them seriously enough to actually know how to combine them. this is lovely, with the bluish shadows and the red, it combines perfectly. and the scarecrow is so cute! they are all so cute! my goodness. i love you tony. +fav and all that jazz :P

very children's bookie. which, in turn, makes this an awesome picture. i am also a huge fan of your character's bodies (in all your art, not just this one). very limber, and abstract.

kudos.

(sorry i didn't offer a critique, i searched and searched and couldn't find more than just minor, unimportant mistakes)

I love your versions of the characters, by far more than those from the actual film. there's just something so jazzy about these figures. I especially enjoy the Scarecrow. ;) flapper Dorothy is also a hit.

This is absolutely wonderful. I love the style and the unique colors and everything, and I think the Toto thing actually works as well. My favorite is the Tinman to be honest, but everything about this screams style and awesomeness. *apologizes for lack of better adjectives*.

dorothy looks like she'd kick my ass :0 as a matter of fact they all do! As for color usage, you did a fantastic job. I like the tin-man's coloring job the most, for many reasons, one being it looks like he's actually reflecting.

Wow..I love it..there's so much to look at..oo0o I feel like a kid in a candy store..lesseeee the colors for the grass you used are so yummy together. The lion is just plain my favorite..his nose rules and the mane is lyke. whoa. I love the little swirls and stuff on it..plus the tiny ickle tail. Plus I love the stance of...Dorthy? Yeah :p It's really sweet..nice job!
